Hey everyone, I have an upcoming interview for a Software Engineer 1 role at the Cadence Design Systems Bangalore office, and this is for an internal opening. I was explicitly told by the recruiter that the first interview would be a "C++ round," but I honestly have no idea what exactly to expect from that. For anyone who has gone through the process (especially in Bangalore or as an internal candidate), I’d love to get some clarity: What exactly is the "C++ Round"? Do they focus heavily on core C++ internals (OOP, vtables, memory management, pointers), or is it just standard DSA coding questions where I have to use C++? How difficult are the questions typically? How many rounds are there in total? What does the complete interview loop look like for an SDE 1? What is the focus of the subsequent rounds? Once I get past the C++ round, what do the next rounds cover? Should I be expecting Operating Systems, Concurrency/Multithreading, or Low-Level Design (LLD)? Any insights on the overall difficulty of the process and what I should prioritize for my prep would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
