I am looking at two motorcycles tomorrow. One is a 2001 Ninja 250 with 20k miles for $800, the entire purpose of this is to be a beater bike/potential track bike. Bike does not run, but I’m pretty confident I can get it running, assuming it’s only the carburetor needing repair.
The other is a very clean 08 Wr250r priced at $3500, 12,000 miles and would be my first dirtbike. These would be in addition to a 2015 Yamaha FJ09 that I currently own. I chose these two for different purposes but obviously with gas at five dollars a gallon a small 250 motorcycle would be a welcome addition to the stable.
I think the WR is what I’m leaning towards, especially considering it’s in running condition with lower miles. But I like the idea of having a expensive motorcycle like a ninja 250.
