I'd saved a pile of Australian Geographic magazines for my kid to tear into and I've been enjoying the old adverts..
Especially ones like this that bring on good memories of the old kitchen prep methods...
Flat grills being phased out by this stage, however my gold coast store had one until the mid/late90s....
9 4:1 patties at a time wasn't in every store as a lot of newer clam-shell grills only let 6 patties at a time be cooked and even if you did have a larger clam-shell, mid 90s brought out a max of 8 10:1 and 6 4:1 at a time for better waste results...
no gloves! ahh what an age to be alive.. I used 1 glove when on grill, became 2 gloves at all times by 92...
early on with cardboard collars the quarter pounders were wrapped like a large cheeseburger and only the mcfeast had a collar, that didn't last long as I was using collars at the end of '91 for all 4:1..
metal mustard dispensers are the best...
