I bought one of those $80 fluid extractors for oil changes to try to cut down on spots in the driveway. Tried it on my pickup and couldn’t get anything out of the pan, the hose was long enough because I felt it hitting the bottom of the pan through. A month later I used it on the girlfriend’s Cruze and it drained all of it in about 30-45 minutes.
The only difference is my truck sits on the driveway at an incline and her car sits almost perfectly flat in the garage. So could the oil been toward the back of the pan enough that I wasn’t getting anything out? Or are these things just not suited for use on pickups?
