So I was hiking with my girlfriend on Raccoon Mountain Saturday and fractured my left tibial mound after a fall near the split rock. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the ten to twelve volunteers/ police / emergency personnel that helped get me out of there on a stretcher.

You guys were saints and kept me in good spirits by reminiscing about our different but similar military experiences. I know i was a heavy load to bear and you guys carried me a long ways.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I’ve got my second surgery scheduled for next week and am on the mend. I’m so glad that you guys were there to help pull me out of the woods.
