I am installing a new faucet into a new vanity. I’ve done this once before without issue but it’s been a while. I keep having a leak at the top of the rubber gasket. I have twice removed the drain stopper and added extra plumbers putty. There are no gaps that I can see with that part. I have removed and replaced the gasket and gotten it hand tightened as much as possible but still the same spot keeps leaking. Looking at the ceramic, there seems to be a small divot where the leak happens to be. Anyone know what I need to do to fix this leak? TIA
