Hey all — I’ve been building a bookkeeping app called MapleLedger over the past few months (a few hundred hours solo dev).

This isn’t a demo — it’s actually usable now, but I need real testers to get through Google Play / TestFlight requirements.

What it does

Local-first (your financial data stays on your device by default)
Receipt scanning + OCR (handles messy receipts surprisingly well)
Income / expenses / mileage tracking

👉 Primarily designed for Canada (GST / HST / PST support),
but there’s also a General mode (VAT-friendly) so anyone can test.

One feature I’m currently testing that’s a bit different:

👉 Dual-receipt scanning (common in restaurants)

Example of a dual receipt (invoice + payment with tip)

If you’ve ever seen this:

one receipt shows the amount before tip (invoice)
another shows the final paid amount with tip (card receipt)

Most apps treat them separately.

MapleLedger can scan them together and:

link both receipts automatically
capture GST / HST (or VAT in General mode)
detect total paid
separate tip correctly
calculate the true base amount (before tip)

So you don’t have to manually reconcile numbers after scanning.

Known issues (being transparent)

Some iOS pickers are a bit clunky (already fixing)
Occasional crashes (actively debugging)
Large font accessibility isn’t great yet
