Went to open up camp today on our higher than a mortgage payment camper that has been nothing but a headache (phew sorry needed to vent) it’s a 2025 Montana 3915TB
We plugged into shore power and put out the front bedroom and back bedroom slides. Then started both kitchen slides. They went out about 2 inches and quit. Both slides. Separate motors separate buttons, both quit.
As a side note, the bedroom slides run off two separate controllers behind the wall of the pass through in the front. We had an issue with them last year, the controllers got replaced, they are seemingly working fine.
I started looking around, the inverter interface inside wasn’t on. After some digging around and checking, we are getting power all the way from the battery (which is testing fine) to before the inverter. Unfortunately, there is no good way to check after the inverter, as it is hard wired and then the wires bury right into the wall.
Breakers are good, fuses are good, the inside of the giggy box is good.
The inverter is a Magnum Dimensions Pure Sine Wave Inverter, model number CSW2012-HX.
I spent 3 hours on the phone with Good Sam before I gave up. First, anyone had an issue with this inverter before? I’m all but certain it has to have a problem. Second, shouldn’t the slide outs still operate fine? What are the chances that both slide out motors died seconds apart after moving 3 inches on each side?
Anyone have any insight? Camping Worlds service team is coming out in a couple days, but I have two disappointed kids, a pregnant wife who was all set to open, and I’m hoping a tree falls on it tonight.
Thanks, sorry for the long read. Wanted as much info as possible.
