Zeraora has always been one of my favorites. I fell in love with it the moment it dropped for USUM back in 2018. When the shiny form was released in 2020 via Sword & Shield, I completely missed out because I was on a hiatus. I never got it, and it haunted me! 😞
So, full disclosure: the one you see in the video isn't 100% "legitimate" by technical standards, but for me, it is 1000% legit. 😃 Call it manipulated or whatever you want, but here’s why this specific Zeraora means the world to me. Pictures on comment section.
Back in 2024, I started doing my research. Getting a genned or cloned one was easy, tried it but it didn't feel "right." I wanted something I could call my own—something with a unique Home ID generated by my own Pokémon Home account. So i continue my research.
By 2025, I discovered the event injection process and spent months studying it. It was pure trial and error, it's frustrating, really. HAHA Just this year, 2026, I was still struggling until the unthinkable happened: I bricked my Switch. I accidentally hit "Start Update" instead of "Start Game." I felt physically sick from the anxiety—scared of a ban since I was doing this online. On top of that, I was exhausted and sleep-deprived from being a parent to a one-year-old.
When it bricked, I thought it was over. But I waited patiently for about a month until a new CFW update dropped. I fixed my Switch, tried the method again, and finally—zero errors. I’m so happy with how it turned out.
I did my research using the Project Pokémon event archives to ensure the Wondercard data was as accurate as possible to the original 2020 event.
The "Lab-Grown" Process:
- Used event injection to get the accurate Wondercard data into my save.
- Ensured the file was clean and unique before transferring to Pokémon Home.
- Successfully generated my own unique Home ID so it’s not a clone of anyone else's.
- Now, I have my favorite Zeraora safely across Shield, Violet, and PLZA.
I’m posting this because I’d love to hear the community’s opinion on this. How do you guys feel about "lab-grown" Pokémon that carry your own unique Home ID? Does the effort of the process make it "legit" enough for your personal collection?
Edit for clarification:
Just to clarify for some of the experts in the comments—I am fully aware that this Zeraora carries the Shield Stamp and not the original "untouched" Home Stamp (since it was claimed via BCAT in Shield).
My goal wasn't to replicate a high-value trade piece or a "Home-stamped" event. My goal was purely personal: to have my favorite Pokémon with a unique Home Tracker ID generated by my own account, rather than a random clone from the web. For me, the journey and having it tied to my Home ID are what make it my Holy Grail! 😊 This zeraora is not made for trading purpose! 😊
