Have been to the ER 3 times in the last 5 months. Diagnosed with colitis twice. Throwing up, bloody diarrhea, stomach cramping and discomfort. I have had 3 episodes, this most recent one being the morning after drinking. I really don’t deal with the vomiting ever, only when I have had these 3 really bad flares. The ER doctor seems to think it is CHS, but I am having a hard time believing that’s what it is. Yes, I am a heavy smoker. I don’t even throw up in the morning or wake up feeling nauseas. But because I told him about the anxiety and how a hot shower helps I now have CHS, allegedly. I have had a colonoscopy and came back normal with no signs of anything crazy. I’m hesitant about the CHS diagnosis because of my lack of vomiting and the irregularity of the flares I have had. I guess I am looking to see if anybody has had an experience like this and it was CHS?
