Interested in opinions from those who do in home boarding… do you allow clients to come pick up their dog who you have for boarding to take it for a few hours during the booking?
I have a new client who is in town visiting and informed me at drop off she would be back in the morning to take her dog to the beach. I let her know that if a dog is boarding, they are with me for the entire booking. She didn’t seem pleased with that but left and all was well. It’s been a few hours now and I’ve gotten a new booking request from her (obviously not realizing that she’s reaching out to the person who has her dog) asking for availability and zip code with a booking start of noon tomorrow and same pick up as the original booking. I didn’t respond to the second request because I didn’t want to be rude. Obviously she is trying to find a new sitter, which is fine with me, but I’m curious if anyone else allows clients to do this?
Update: she wasn’t able to find a new sitter, and seemed happy at pick up.
