Hi all,

We built an IP in 2018, owned the land since 2010. We have never lived in it, its 200km away and currently 100% offset. We currently live in employee housing at a different town. There is a chance we move back to the town with the IP in 2027 and if that happens will make the IP our PPOR. Is there any tax costs associated with becoming our ppor? if we stay in it for the long time 10+ years, do we only pay CGT on the portion we had it rented out i.e 8 years? thanks
