How are your rec league rules for roster build/drafting? The issue we're having now is that coaches who bring a tee ball team of 8 six year olds into coach pitch are complaining of getting pounded by teams who have veteran players. There's a keeper rule - you can keep 4 to 8 players you previously coached. The teams who keep fewer get more and earlier draft capital. Draft is not a snake and is in reverse order of standings. New teams draft first.
Proposals are being thrown out for approval that entail no keepers (except the coaches son) and everyone else gets evaluated and drafted to a new team twice a year. Other Proposals entail establishing a rating for every kept player, then tallying the grade. Teams with a higher grade number only get to draft once Other teams have caught up. (this assumes they will catch up which is unlikely for the tee ball teams)
Seems like we're overthinking here. how are your rules?
