Within the last few days I've received a plethora of venmo password reset codes through both email and text, which I did not prompt. Along with this, my venmo card has stopped tapping, as well as with my phone, yet I am still able to use the chip. I also am not able to sign into venmo with my username, email, and/or phone number. I called venmo support today, and gave them this information and according to their system, my account had been deleted sometime in November of 2024.
The confusion comes from the fact that supposedly my account is deleted from 2024, and I cannot log in, but I can still use my card by inserting it, and I still received emails when I make a transaction.
I'm not sure if this means anything, but the account is still a teen account under my parents, as I am 18 and in college, and that is just the easiest way for them to add money to it.
I was told on the phone that they could potentially restore my account, but it seems like maybe my account still exists.
