Went out to get Amazon package and this chicken was in the yard. Not sure what to do. I’ve posted on NextDoor and Ring Neighbors but nothing from those yet.
UPDATE:
Still no responses from NextDoor, Facebook, or Ring Neighbors posts. We have given her appropriate food and water. She seems very friendly and sometimes follows us in the yard, even trying to jump into my car when I got in. She ended up sleeping on top of the trash can last night, and saw her eating this morning. I would be willing to keep and take care of her, but we live in an HOA (unfortunately) and they will probably push back pretty hard and give us issues. I have contacted a coworker who has hens, and also a local rescue farm. Still waiting for responses from both.
FINAL UPDATE
Posted about her in the subreddit of my county and she was just picked up by a nearby couple who already has chickens on their property. She’s gonna have a real home now but I definitely miss her already!
