I'm hoping to install a new 240V 50a circuit. It would run from my exterior breaker panel (2019 build, has capacity) along the exterior side of my house to my garage, which is on the same side of the house as the breaker panel. Then, enter the garage (thru exterior garage wall) and install a NEMA receptacle (interior garage wall). I already have a charger. This run would require about 50-60ft of conduit, including about a 10ft vertical rise in height. Currently waiting on a 2nd quote. It's a reputable company, so I'm assuming the $1400 includes permit/inspection. I'm from the UK and not familiar with the process.
I thought this would be closer to $1k. Anyone have similar experiences for comparison? Worth shopping around or just pull the trigger? Thanks!
Edit: sounds like a reasonable quote. However, now I'm wondering if I should get a quote or two for a hardwired charger. I assumed it would be at least a couple hundred more, but now idk.
