BRING “ABERRATION 2026” TO LIFE - A NEW GENERATION OF PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR
“Aberration 2026” is an ambitious psychological horror/thriller with international potential, created for both Polish and global audiences. The project combines the atmosphere of classic psychological thrillers with modern horror focused on tension, emotional depth and disturbing psychological storytelling rather than simple violence. Inspired by productions such as “Fear Street”, the film still keeps its own original identity through themes of karma, inherited guilt, trauma and generational curses.
The story follows a group of young friends who become trapped in a 500 year old curse connected to an ancient deal made with the devil. As terrifying events begin to unfold, the group slowly discovers that the tragedy repeats itself every 100 years and is deeply tied to their bloodlines and the dark secrets of their ancestors. The narrative is designed to constantly manipulate the viewer psychologically, making the audience question what is real, who can be trusted and whether the true danger comes from supernatural forces or from the characters themselves.
Even at the screenplay stage, the project has received an extremely positive response from people involved in the production process. Many individuals were so impressed and emotionally invested in the story that they offered to work on the project purely out of passion, without expecting payment. This reaction alone reflects the emotional and artistic potential of the film and the strong belief the team already has in its success.
Despite the dedication and passion of everyone involved, our goal is to provide professional and safe working conditions for the cast and crew. The funds raised for the project will primarily support production organization, catering for the team, accommodation during filming, costumes, set design, as well as essential materials for makeup artists and the practical effects department. We believe that true professionalism also means taking care of the people who help bring the vision to life.
“Aberration 2026” is also part of a larger vision, helping modern Polish cinema reach an international audience. The film is planned in English in order to increase its global festival and distribution potential while proving that independent Polish filmmakers are capable of creating high-quality psychological genre cinema on an international level.
