I dropped off a return where the item never had a barcode sticker to begin with. Will I run into issues getting refunded later?
Hi everyone 👋.
I just dropped off a return package yesterday at the USPS post office. I was in a rush to return because of how short the return window is for this particular item(only 15 days from delivery) combined with my work schedule which only gave me one possible day I could stop by the post office😞.
Today, I just checked a section saying more detailed information on how to return(attached a photo). The item I received did not have a barcode sticker. I even took a video documenting the packing process which shows no barcode sticker. But I have already packaged it all up where I kept it in it’s original packaging, using the provided shipping label, and dropped it off at the USPS post office yesterday.
It’s already on the way according to tracking, though it hasn’t updated on my AliExpress account yet that it’s in the system.
I read somewhere that if there is no barcode sticker, then the next best thing is to write the order number on paper and place it in the package alongside the return. But since I had already gave the return package to the postal service, I can’t do that anymore.
Will I run into issues with getting a refund later😞?
But at the end of the day, I still know it was technically still my fault for not reading instructions thoroughly on the return process before dropping off the return package.
I was hoping to find out if someone else out there been through this situation before and can maybe tell me how it went for them?
