Upcoming Benilde Grade 11 student here, any advice for SHS in general?

Hi! I’m an upcoming Grade 11 SHS student taking the Business and Entrepreneurship pathway, and honestly I’m both excited and nervous since I’ll basically be one of the new students there 😭

I’m curious about a lot of things already, like the workload, reporting, groupings, subjects, classmates, teachers, and overall experience in the strand. I also wanna know what I should expect and what I should prepare myself for before classes start.

Do you guys have any advice, tips, experiences, or things you wish you knew before entering this school? Anything would help honestly. Thank you!

What If Hell’s Paradise Failed Their Mission? (Demon Slayer AU)

What If Hell’s Paradise Failed Their Mission? (Demon Slayer AU)

This is just a fun imagination/theory of mine, so don’t judge 😭 but I honestly feel like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is basically like what would happen if the mission in Hell's Paradise completely failed.

In Hell’s Paradise, all the supernatural horrors the Tao-powered monsters, the Lord Tensen, and the secret of immortality were isolated on one island, and the whole mission was something like uhm to stop those dangers from spreading to the rest of the world. But Demon Slayer feels like the version where that containment completely failed and the “infection” spread across Japan.

What makes it even more interesting to me is how similar both series actually are.

Both anime revolve around supernatural beings obsessed with immortality. In Hell’s Paradise, the Tensen rely on Tao and the island’s mysterious flower-based life force to maintain their godlike existence. Meanwhile in Demon Slayer, Muzan’s entire origin and search for perfection are connected to the Blue Spider Lily, another flower tied to immortality.

Even the fighting styles feel weirdly connected. Both series focus heavily on swordsmanship combined with supernatural techniques that almost feel elemental or spiritual in nature. Tao in Hell’s Paradise and Breathing Styles in Demon Slayer both enhance the user’s body beyond normal human limits and create visually similar combat sequences.

The characters also give off similar vibes sometimes:

  • Gabimaru and Tanjiro both start as calm but deeply emotional protagonists who fight mainly because of the people they care about, they also share the same fire effect.
  • The Tensen and Upper Moons both act like terrifying godlike beings serving under one ultimate immortal leader.

That’s why Demon Slayer honestly feels to me like a “what if Hell’s Paradise lost control of the outbreak?” scenario where the monsters, immortality obsession, and supernatural power system escaped the island and spread throughout an entire country.
