Hey y'all! I am hoping to get back into playing DnD after having a frustrating last couple of attempts.
I can play on Saturdays between 7 PM and 1 AM EST time.
I have begginer level experience with 2 Campaign's that lasted at least a year. Both times I ended up stepping away due to realizing it wasn't a good fit, (No DnD is better then bad DnD type scenarios).
My first Campaign (Homebrew) was meant for veteran players and I joined last minute to fill an empty slot. Naturally the difficulty and setting was a trial by fire that ended up with 3 of my OCs dead within the year. Because I am very personally attached to my characters seeing 3 of them die made it hard for me to get enjoyment out of things so I stepped away to find somethign a bit more suited for a begginer.
Then for my 2nd Campaign (Also Homebrew) I stepped away because it was heavily focused on RP which I didn't realise until after. I don't have a problem with RP but I prefer more of 50/50 or 60/40 split for RP/Combat ratio compared to this one which had a 90/10 split. It also started to feel like I was the only PC that was trying to engage in the setting and conversation by the end so I once again stepped away.
A little about me if you need it:
Male, though I don't really have a preference on pronouns (Y'all can call me whatever) If you need something concrete then He/Him is fine.
I am about to turn 27
Fairly introverted especially with new peeps but willing to try my best. I have no views points that would interefere with getting along with people so long as the words/actions of others are not harming another.
I am fine playing homebrew or manuals though I'd prefer it follows a general fantasy setting. Nothing too far from normal like a Steampunk, Cyberpunk, Modern or IRL Historical setting. Just your Avergae DnD 5e experience preferably.
I plan to play either a pure classed Paladin or a Sorceress. My Paladin does have a homebrew Subclass I am eager to play for the first time, however I can just play a defualt Subclass if it is deemed a problem.
I would not be interested in being partied with any "evil" character types, so no murder hobos or similar things.
