I’m a logo designer from Algeria trying to target clients in the US, Canada, and Europe because locally, logo design is often treated more like a favor than an actual business service.

I’ve been improving my work constantly and trying cold outreach, but honestly… almost nobody replies. At this point I’m realizing the issue might not even be my work it’s probably exposure and positioning.

Feels like I’m building in the wrong place and talking to the wrong rooms.

I know clients are out there looking for designers every day, but I’m clearly not positioned where they look.

For those who made it out of this stage: What actually changed things for you?

I participated in Designhill logo contests last year and none of these concepts were selected.

I revisited them and I’m curious from a pure design perspective do any of these feel like they should have won, or is there a clear reason they didn’t?

Trying to understand the gap between strong design and winning design in real contest environments.

Honest critique appreciated.
