I keep seeing jokes online about people in the US just walking it off instead of dialing 911, purely out of fear of the bill. But isn't that exactly what health insurance is supposed to cover? Do the costs really hit that hard even with decent coverage, or is this just an exaggerated internet meme? Genuinely curious what the reality is from people who live it.
