Applying for VR&E at the same time as Disability Increase?
Hello,
Quick backstory. I am a recently seperated from USMC and currently have a claim in for increasing my disability rating. I currently am working in a 6 month IT helpdesk contract. I want to go to school so I can get a degree in software engineering and move away from the physical labor of helpdesk. (I have a bad knee)
My question is: Should I wait for my disability increase claim to go through before applying for VR&E or should I submit for VR&E now/at the same time as my disability claim.
Reasons for being hestiant:
Heard VR&E can take months to get approved, so I would like to get the process rolling but I feel like having a higher percentage (Assuming I get higher) will show a bigger impact that it has on my job.
