You know, after playing through this set for the past few weeks and reminiscing over the previous set, I've realised that I actually really started to like 4/5 cost builds over reroll.
I can't even believe I'm saying this because when I first started playing TFT in the earlier sets, I was addicted to rerolling and I never even touched F8/9. And Set 16 was my first proper experience with playing F8/9 comps repeatedly and getting used to the adaptive style.
But now that Set 16 is gone and we're in this new set that is reroll heavy, I can see that I enjoy now playing with high cost units slightly more than 3* low cost units.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that F8/9 is impossible right now in this set (I just suck at the game so it's probably why I'm struggling to pull it off 😂) but I feel like since this set has dropped and I've played quite a few games, I can see the whole game holistically.
And I can see how having one type of playstyle in constant rotation can make gameplay become stale and why a rotating meta is required to make both playstyles entertaining.
Anyways, I want some feedback on whether you guys agree/disagree with my post and why and also who else developed an interest in F8/9 because of Set 16.
Thanks Riot for this amazing game and happy gaming everyone! ❤️
