Hi, just looking for some advice. I’m planning on majoring in physics, and my top options right now are my state school (University of Georgia), Rutgers NB (honors) and Purdue.
I got a 10k scholarship for Rutgers so that puts it above Purdue for me, but the cost of attendance would still be almost double that of my state school.
Also, I plan to transfer in my second year if I can to GT. So part of me thinks that staying at UGA would be better just because I’m planning to transfer anyway and I could save money.
But at the same time, I don‘t want to finish all four years at UGA if I have a choice. Academically, I think that the Purdue physics program is a lot better than UGA's, but if I don’t end up transferring, it could be tougher financially.
TLDR; I don‘t know whether to commit to UGA or Purdue to get the best value for my physics undergrad. Any advice would be appreciated.
