Quick update on my build, everything’s coming together nicely.
I cut the pickguard from a solid sheet of copper, and the electronics are now wired up: Lollar Imperial T, Lawrence Blade stacked humbucker, and a Gibson P90. I went with Nashville-style wiring, so the middle and bridge are on 500k while the neck is knocked down to 250k.
Next step is a full refret and setup, and then it should be ready to go.
I was a little worried the copper guard would add too much weight, but it came in at 7.2 lbs, which feels totally reasonable for a Strat.
