Hi all - planning on switching from my (24 y/o) marketing based early career role to full time sales rep later this year, wanted to get a pulse for what I should expect as someone interested in building out a career in the space. I have learned in the roughly two years since undergrad that client facing interaction is definitely what gets me going and having the autonomy to determine my own income is definitely a nice plus.
As stated, I’m in industrial b2b - my company is a large manufacturer and we don’t really sell d2c at all minus a few segments that I won’t be in. Is there anyone that would be willing to PM me and share some info on what I should expect as far as salary progression, ceilings, etc. I am expecting to make a solid base salary with good benefits but I think our bonus/comp scheme is set up to be a large % of annual salary.
Any pitfalls I should expect or any general guidance would be much appreciated. Happy to talk over messages!
