Anyone figured out a decently strong hive week 1 path to creep the map?

For an example, if I play either Necro or Grove. I really like Crypts and Graves II, Fortifications II and Dread Knights / Hoplets II, fortifications II and Herbomancers (Economy or extra units production in between) to be a solid week 1 path to explore.

I've tried the Reaver path on Hive, but I often loose a lot of units, or don't take too many fights the first week. I have barely played that faction compared to the remaining, so with more time I will figure it out. However I'm curious to what people have had success with, any findings or a certain hero that works well the first two weeks, especially due to the lack of range with that faction.
