I had been doing a bunch of research on what was out there in terms of quality, somewhat more powerful scooters at the best price point, and finding this brand new on eBay for $2k after a “make an offer” deal seemed like the best bet considering the 70v40ah LG battery, Nutt brakes, wider deck, and other features.

I have a couple questions though: first one is general about the tire bead being seated right; I tried pumping up the front tire with a regular bike pump and realized it wasn’t holding any air, while the rear one is seated properly and holding at approx 50psi. What’s the best way to seat the bead on these tires? I’ve seen all manner of videos using a little blast of butane or starter fluid but that doesn’t seem like the best route (although I’m no stranger to explosions ha). Did manage to remove the front rim though, so that felt like a victory.

Secondly, I’m curious about the suspension system in these scooters. It seems fairly standard across a number of Dualtron models, but I’m wondering how one goes about adjusting the amount of travel. I see the little ‘tick’ marks on the suspension housing, and the wider “V” sort of slot in the center of the top of the arm; is it just reseated forward or back on the little scale of tick marks to shift travel angle a bit? This of course is in place of switching out the suspension cartridges altogether, but I’m unsure which strength is the standard stock variety in the first place. Thanks for any help or advice!
