He does this frequently throughout the day randomly it seems like. Just a few moments ago he did it after not having seen me all day and followed me around the house for a bit before leaving to do his own thing (He loves patrolling the house).
Been wanting to ask this subreddit for a while now as you people seem pretty knowledgeable about cat behavior but I didn’t know how to quite describe what he does
Some context I feel is needed. He was a stray cat who started visiting our home back in October. He’s been coming around consistently since then and he practically lives here now. Sleeps here, eats here, shits here lol. He does come and go though and loves being outdoors (where we first met him). Doesn’t see to like staying in the house for too long but lately he seems to be warming up more and now even lets us graze his back/tail with our hand but I’ve been cautious to try petting him while he’s facing me because he has scratched me in the past one time when I was feeding him.
