So I have some experience in report writing and I appreciate individual style but I'm perplexed by the difference between this:
"While monitoring X, I observed Y."
"Whilst monitoring X, I observed Y."
To my ear "whilst" sounds odd if not archaic.
So, with the sunsetting of Windows 10, I'm told that my rig (built ~10 years ago) is no longer viable (able to upgrade to Windows 11). I'm not sure why (other than the fact it's at least two generations behind "Bleeding Edge of Technology"), but "The writing's on the Wall."
So, my current rig has a small SSD c:\ to run the operating system -- and multi-terabyte d:\ for installed programs & stored files.
I'm wondering whether upgrading the motherboard, CPU & memory would be enough to keep "this pig" viable? Or are there other steps I'm not considering?
And what would be the steps to upgrade the guts of the computer (The motherboard, CPU & memory) while retaining the soul (the existing hard drives)?
