What type of Apps are people developing?

I put off buying the original as a graduate dev as I couldn't justify the price at the time on my meager salary back in 2013-ish. If I could think of a good enough idea that was better than taking my phone out of my pocket, I would do it. Alas, as the colour version came, I still had nothing good enough.

Fast forward more than a decade, when I heard it was coming back and I put in my pre order, and even now, I still have not thought of anything reasonable and have avoided smart watches all the while.

Lads, even more than a year waiting on that pre order, the best I have is switching blue tooth devices my phone connects to. I am not looking to even have something money making or published, just something useful for myself. What type of apps are people playing with that are not already included in the native functions?

I might play with my own face design, the blue tooth connector is mentioned and maybe a power ranger beeb on getting a call just for fun.

What are people looking to take advantage of? Again, I put off buying a smart watch of any kind so I am not very familiar with what comes with it anyway. Every now and then I will look at the pebble app store but most of the popular ones were last updates 10 years ago so I don't know what has changed since.

There are already checklists and reminders, pedometer, etc out there but what type of ideas are people playing with that are not already out there to a polished degree?
