Given how this season has shaped up for us so far, the root cause of our poor performance is glaringly obvious: abysmal starts and clueless captaincy. It's time we address the Jinx on our team if KKR wants to stabilise.

Here is the squad we need to try (when batting first):

  1. Sunil Narine (C) ✈︎
  2. Finn Allen ✈︎
  3. Cameron Green ✈︎
  4. Angkrish Raghuvanshi
  5. Rinku Singh (VC)
  6. Tejaswi Singh Dahiya (wk)
  7. Anukul Roy
  8. Ramandeep Singh
  9. Matheesha Pathirana ✈︎
  10. Kartik Tyagi
    11Varun Chakaravarthy

Impact Subs: Vaibhav Arora, Aajtu Rehnede, Manish Pandey, Umran Malik

(If we are bowling first, we just push Raghuvanshi to the impact list and bring in Malik or Arora.)

This solves a lot of our current issues. Pushing Narine, Allen and Green to the top pretty much ensures a good power play. With Rinku in form and X-factors like Dahiya and Anukul, the back half of our innings will be just as dangerous. Narine is also a great tactical mind, and everyone in the team respects him, so he can lead.

Sadly, we don't have a solid replacement for an out-of-form Ramandeep, but that’s an issue we'll just have to solve in the next auction.

I know I am going to get hate from the Jinx supporters, but he is the main bottleneck. He is insecure enough not to play Narine at the top, and that nonchalant attitude and irresponsible captaincy is infecting the rest of the squad.
