Can my lemon tree be saved?

Lots of rot in the base of the tree. This tree hangs over my driveway and car. It feels sturdy when I push on it. I really like the tree but I’m afraid of the damage it could do if it came down in a storm. It’s gets 10 hours of light and I water it once a week in the growing season after fertilizing

Citrus tree with rot at the base

Citrus tree in my front yard that is situated over my driveway and car. Is it unsafe? Any way to make it safer or does it just need to go? It seems stable when I push on it and it produces great lemons
