I’ve been thinking about how ranks might turn out this year, and honestly it feels like things might balance out similar to last year.
Last year, board exams were moderate not everyone was scoring 280+ easily. But KCET was very easy, so a lot of students scored high in CET, which pushed ranks down (rank inflation).
This year, it feels kind of opposite. Board exams were comparatively very easy, and almost everyone is getting 280+ or close. But KCET was a bit harder than last year.
So I’m guessing:
High board marks will increase competition
Slightly tougher KCET will reduce extreme CET scores
Because of this, ranks might normalize and end up being similar to last year overall.
