So this might be kind of specific, but I figured it’s worth a shot. I’m currently employed (thankfully), but I’m in the middle of getting my Master’s in Accounting and really trying to transition into the field.
I have a bachelor’s in biology and some accounting experience (an internship + a part-time role), but I’ve been having a really hard time landing anything in accounting—literally anything entry-level like clerk, assistant, AR/AP, etc.
I’ve applied to pretty much everything I can find: small companies, larger corporations, local government roles, even Big 4 (out of desperation at this point lol). I also tried places like Charles Schwab thinking that might be an easier way in, but no luck so far.
So this is my shot in the dark. Does anyone know of any entry-level accounting roles in the Austin area paying around $25/hr or close to it? Or any companies that are actually hiring entry-level right now?
I’m more than happy to share my resume via DM, and if your company does referrals, I’d seriously appreciate it. Just really trying to break into the field I’m going into debt for 😅
