I’m now 27 years old. I’ve always been five foot since I was 15. I lost my period at 15 and never had it back since. My body still looks like a tween. I never let myself fully develop and go through the complete process of puberty. I got my first period and had maybe one or two more and after that spiralled into anorexia.

My question is - from an aesthetic standpoint, I often get mistaken for a tween because of my body.

If I get my period back, will my body still develop to look like a woman rather than a pre pubescent girl? Or is it too late?

The hardest part for me is not becoming a pit of depression during HA recovery. Eating more? Sure. Resting more. Okay, tough, but I can give it a good attempt.

But the second I’m seeing and feeling the physical changes and noticing clothes not fitting, I am just spiralling into a total mess of self loathing, wanting to isolate, wanting to slip back to weight loss, hating every bit of extra skin, crying, comparing, grieving, you get the idea…

How do people actually live with this??? I feel like my ENTIRE consciousness is taken over completely by thoughts of how awful this is, how much I hate it, how it’s not working, how I don’t want anyone to see me, just so negative negative negative.

Affirmations don’t work, people reassuring me doesn’t work, and I feel HOPELESS.

Please can anyone share how they REALLY and truly shifted their mindset and stopped placing so much emphasis on the negative and how much it’s not working and only causing me to feel even more depressed and unhappy

Sorry if this sounds negative or skeptical, but am I the only one who’s so confused and baffled by the amount of HA recovery coaches out there who just look so slim and healthy and in the best shape ever, all while maintaining a regular cycle?

Yet I feel like I look like a puffer fish and yet still don’t have healthy hormones.

I admit I’m a little jealous and want to know how they manage to do it. I know every body is individual, but I can’t help feeling cheated and like it’s so unfair! Anyone else?

Hey girls, so I’ve been petite all my life. Got my first period when I was 14 about to turn 15. I was approx 45kg then and same height - 152cm or five foot.

I see a lot of cases where women have to “overshoot” to get their cycles back.

In my case, if I’ve always been a petite person, does that mean I might need to overshoot to for example 55kg?

I’m aware some women naturally have a higher BMI where their body settles and that’s their “set point” or healthy weight.

But I’m wondering if my set point (before HA) was naturally approx BMI 20, is it possible my new set point might have changed after 12+ years of HA? Meaning my body might not menstruate at a BMI of 20 anymore, but instead higher…

I know this is nuanced but just curious to hear other ladies experience. Some women say they need to get to BMI 25 or 26 to get their cycles back and wondering if that might apply to me
