I am not mentally prepared for a SCT/BMT
I 24F was diagnosed with unspecified type AML last October, went through 7+3 that didn’t work and my blast cells got higher, then FLAG-ida that has worked for me down to 1.7% and then aza+vento for three months which got me to MRD-
They considered me as an intermediate risk as the induction chemo didn’t work.
However, I have a 100% match donor, but too scared to get a transplant. As well as my family situation is not that great
I had a fungal infection in my lungs during chemo and I am so scared of GVHD especially in my lungs and I don’t know if that actually may affect that.
I am thinking of continuing in aza + vento and hope for the best, and If relapse happens I will have to deal with it when it happens
