I started working with my recruiter roughly 9 months ago, since then I’ve been to MEPS, passed my AFOQT, and graduated college. I have been fighting medical waivers for 6 months or so.

Initially it was a fighting getting all the required documentation to then, so I had to use the MAC. Then the needed documentation saying I was able to work jobs/internships without any special accommodations (ADHD), which I provided multiple sources for this.

Now they are saying they need to do a medical consultation on me, but have not provided any further details. Has anyone experienced this? Was the purpose of MEPS not to do this? And what could I expect from this medical consultation, does a third party conduct it?

I was expecting to have my package submitted before I graduated but now I am done with school and don’t really have a plan. Navy has already approved my medical, but I would much prefer Air Force. I also haven’t really been applying for jobs because I didn’t want to get something and then get shipped off to training if I got in. I suppose I’m looking for a little guidance on what to do so I don’t put myself in a bad spot.
