We are in a small gymnastics program in the NW. Our Xcel silver tuition just jumped to $440/month. This doesn’t cover uniforms, meets, travel- it’s 9 hours of practice only a week.
The gym has two sets of bars, getting a third used that the asked us to pay for (the parents of team). Three beams, one running tramp, and a single small floor, one vault, no foam pit.
We have three coaches, one who brings their three children to class often wearing the one year old while coaching. And two that do not have personal gymnastics experience but have past all requirements and are both now at least a decade into coaching tumbling.
This team is three years old- so new to comps.
The price seems crazy, I’ve comped it and been in and around the sport most of my life.
Gymnastics can easily cost that a month at higher levels and nice gyms, but this is Xcel silver and that’s not us.
So gymnastics parents what are you guys paying for Xcel and above?
