Need 1–2 volunteers to drop a comment in our Devvit mod-tool sub — Reddit Mod Tools Hackathon demo 🛡️

Hey VibeCoders 👋

I'm working on a Devvit mod tool called HumanDefender for the Reddit Mod Tools & Migrated Apps Hackathon 2026 (yes I am "vibe coding" it). It's a behavioral-analysis bot that Ghost Scores every comment in a sub on 5 signals — karma ratio, post velocity, linguistic entropy, cross-sub scatter, reply-only patterns. Catches coordinated inauthentic behavior and bot accounts before mods have to babysit the queue.

The problem: my dev sub r/humandefender_dev is basically a ghost town. I need a couple of real human Redditors to drop a comment or two over there so I can record the demo video showing the tool scoring actual humans (not socks, not bots — real accounts). Scoring real humans low is actually the strongest part of the demo: it proves the tool is calibrated and doesn't false-positive on regular people.

🙏 What I'm asking (literally 30 seconds):

  1. Head over to https://www.reddit.com/r/humandefender_dev
  2. Pick any post and drop a normal comment — anything human-sounding. Examples:
    • "Cool concept, curious how the entropy signal handles non-English comments"
    • "This is the kind of mod tool reddit actually needs lol"
    • "Just here to be a data point — good luck with the hackathon!"
    • Or literally any genuine reaction — the more "real human" energy, the better the demo
  3. That's it. Done. You can leave and never think about it again.

🛡️ What happens to your comment:

  • HumanDefender's CommentSubmit trigger will score you automatically
  • You'll get a low Ghost Score (you're a real human with normal posting patterns — that's the point)
  • I'll feature the scoring in the demo video as proof the tool correctly identifies humans
  • Your comment stays public on the sub unless you delete it later (totally your call)
  • No DMs, no follow-up, no spam — just one comment and we're done

🎁 If you want a bonus mention:

Drop a comment that says something like "vibecoder reporting in" and I'll shout out r/VibeCodersNest in the demo video credits + the Devpost submission write-up. Free clout for the sub.

Why I'm asking here: y'all build with no-code and AI tools — you understand why a tool that catches bot networks at machine speed matters. Reddit's mod queue is drowning. This is the kind of edge-tool that should exist, and the hackathon is my shot to ship it.

Huge thank-you to anyone who jumps in. Every comment is genuinely a help — this whole thing is for the hackathon and your 30 seconds directly translates to a better demo video for the judges. 🙏

Strait Tracker at warheatmap.app -- Tracking every ship interdiction, seizure, and AIS-dark contact in the Strait of Hormuz since Operation Project Freedom began — just pushed a major update (v6.1)

As some of you know, I have been building OSINT tools related to the war since the US blockade of Iranian ports began in late February 2026 and what is now being called Operation Project Freedom launched, I couldn't find a single tool showing me what I actually needed to know in real time. So I built some.

**What just got updated — Strait Tracker v6.1:**

Strait Tracker is the naval intelligence module inside warheatmap.app . Rebuilt from the ground up with live data feeds, a fully interactive map, and an auto-updating intelligence brief panel.

**The data it's tracking right now:**

🔴 MSC Francesca + Epaminondas — seized April 22 in a single coordinated IRGCN operation
🟠 34+ vessels turned back by US Navy since the blockade began Feb 27
🟣 Hero II + Hedy — two Iranian VLCCs (~4M barrels combined) running AIS-dark through the Arabian Sea
⚓ USS Lincoln, Carter Hall, Bulkeley — all plotted on the map
⚠️ Mine field / exclusion zones marked
📰 Live intel briefs pulled from Reuters, AP, UKMTO, CENTCOM, gCaptain, Bloomberg — sourced and timestamped
🛢️ Brent + WTI oil prices tracked alongside every interdiction event
📅 War Day counter — live since Feb 27, 2026

**What's new in this update:**

- Rebuilt live intel feed (was freezing before — now fixed)
- Daily price ingestion instead of per-visit API calls
- IRGCN asset positions + US Navy carrier group locations updated
- Real-time auto-refresh every 15 minutes
- War Day counter now calculating correctly

Everything is sourced. All events are timestamped. It's completely free with no login required.

To access visit warheatmap.app — click Strait Tracker / HORMUZ from the main dashboard, both desktop and mobile versions available, install to your home screen for real time conflict alerts on iOS or Android.

Most people know surveillance is expanding. Few people have a map.

We've been aggregating public records — GAO reports, USASpending.gov contracts, EFF Atlas data, MuckRock FOIA responses, and news intelligence — into a single, continuously updated visual tool.

FaceHeatMap (faceheatmap.app) plots active facial recognition deployments and federal vendor contracts across the United States by jurisdiction. Red markers = confirmed active deployments. Orange = contracts awarded but deployment status unclear. Green = jurisdictions with active bans or moratoriums in place.

Here's what's currently tracked:

  • 85+ jurisdictions mapped and categorized
  • 29 federal vendor contracts (with dollar values, start dates, vendors)
  • Live intel feed pulling relevant news via NewsAPI
  • State-by-state law tracker — bans, moratoria, legislation in progress
  • Vendor/contractor profiles with contract lineage
  • Timeline view of the surveillance expansion arc since 2018

The data updates automatically. Every Monday morning a cron job re-queries sources, flags new contracts, and pushes a Telegram digest to the research team. Nothing is cached and stale — if a contract drops or a law passes, the map reflects it within a week.

Methodology:

  • Primary: USASpending.gov API (federal contract data)
  • Secondary: EFF Surveillance Atlas (community-maintained)
  • Tertiary: MuckRock public FOIA releases, GAO audit reports
  • Geo: Nominatim + manual verification for jurisdictions without clean address data
  • News: NewsAPI filtered to surveillance/biometric/law enforcement beats

This is not a finished product — it's a living research instrument.

We are also tracking Operation Epic Fury and the Strait of Hormuz situation in real time via a separate tool at warheatmap.app — same philosophy, different domain. Live intelligence aggregation, public data only, no walls.

::: THE MISSION :::

Ever since I bought my first Roku "Smart TV" I have always been intrigued with the app store and have always had a goal in the back of my mind to create a real working Roku app. In walks ai assisted coding...

::: THE IDEA :::

Create a worker that can polls my social media accounts every 5 mins, the app automatically pulls content from a JSON API endpoint and displays it as a structured news channel experience on the television screen.

:::: MAKE IT REAL ::::

I used Claude to ingest the Roku SDK and dev docs and built a full featured platform that can actually vibe code apps for your Roku TV. Automatically generate required assets such as images, screenshots, etc and assist with the auditing and submission process.

I am perfecting this platform step by step by using it to make a real working Roku TV app and so far have had great success! Claude is excellent at converting code to BrightScript.

So far we are on Day 3 and the back ground worker is live and humming on the cloudflare edge , the Roku beta app is loaded on a TV on my local network, if you are curious and would like to see how this works, I will be streaming on discord.
