Status update: Balancing act

So I drilled bigger drain holes to hopefully help drain more and allow more airflow for the soil to dry. The top soil is bone dry and separating from the pot but the mid to bottom is moist-wet leaning. Humidity is something I’ve been trying to increase without having too little airflow so I’ve started doing a 20/4 schedule to help the roots in the plants grow (I read that somewhere I could be wrong). The fungus gnats have been fizzling out I didn’t use any of my new mosquito bits just cause I don’t want to water it again while the soil is still wet at the bottom. I’m thinking today I will take about a half inch of soil out and put the black potting sand I bought on top to help with the gnats but I’m not sure yet if I wanna do that yet. Hopefully my green thumb is good enough to keep these guys alive.

I need help uh oh

Okay so I recently have gotten a noticeable amount of gnat type bugs which I included in the pics. Also I need to know if that is mold growing in my soil and if the drain holes I drilled in the bottom of my pots are big enough and what I should do. The plants themselves look fine to me (first time grower that doesn’t know much). I read about fungus gnats and hope it’s not that, but there are a noticeable amount of dead gnats on the bottom of my grow tent. I would love any advice and feedback!

First time growing stage 1

Finally doing it and going all in for my first time growing. I’m trying to learn as much as I can as I go. Just today did the little sprout looking guys come out of the soil and my light is set to 100% for 24 hours, I think that’s the right thing to do also I’m baked asff off that ruby twist if yk yk so if i make mistakes in this thats why im not just stupid. Anyways I don’t have a carbon filter attached to the inline fan because I think that’s unnecessary. I’ve been trying to reach a higher humidity inside for the little sprouts so I put a little personal diffuser in there to hopefully help but it’s only around 45% from the sensor. I have the return hole for airflow at the bottom so that it has proper ventilation from top to bottom but it’s hard to keep the inside temp of this tent below 80 with it on 100% so hopefully I’m not baking these little guys before they can get me baked. I have one of those AC Infiniti fans that circulates back-and-forth kind of aiming towards the little plant because I heard that airflow against them makes them stronger and not wimpy so hopefully it’ll make my plants buff or something. I’m really excited to be doing this for the first time and hopefully all goes well. I will maybe post updates with new pictures if it goes well.
