Ok first post but confused why I can’t have multiple tags and why feminist / strong female lead isn’t a tag example but whatever.

I NEED RECS.

I’ve gone through several authors and series and I like fantasy and sci-fi preferably with strong females, queer storylines, and people of color existing / their existence being part of the storyline (not like, yeah different races exist but we all experience the same story lines the same, right? No- not that).

Books/authors that I’ve loved/really enjoyed:
- Octavia Butler
- NK Jennison (I think stone kingdom series was my favorite, got a little lost throughout the gods one, couldn’t finish the city we became)
- tj Klune (not great at strong female leads or racial perspectives but eye important thing is that he goes as an gay white male author and I appreciate that)
- “blood over bright haven” by ML wang (GREAT fucking book)
- “This princess kills monsters” by ry Herman (not all of racial awareness that I recall but an adorably written feminist book with trans and queer storylines- big Emma Stone in Easy A vibes)
- VE Schwab (the shades of magic series I LOVED, Addie LaRue was just ok? I liked vicious series
More than the savage song duo)

I have dozens more I could reflect on but this post is more to get recs than give reviews on what I’ve liked .

Reading written word makes me sleepy so I do audiobooks. Last year I listed to 34 books. So I need fuel!! Please and thank you!
