Image 1 — Hi there im in the commercial furniture business and we dont do a lot of real leather. We have a sofa at a client's party room and its real leather. It seems dry and vulnerable and I am coming to understand there are different finishes for leather that take stains etc. Differently

Well it already got scratched by a resident and I was asked to quote on fixing the scratch

Its so shallow I am certain that it is a matter of just rubbing conditioner all over the sofa to make it more supple.

The leather has a crinkly feel which seems wrong to me - like the back cushions also feel understuffed amd stiff

I want this piece to last a long time for the clients as they paid a lot for it.

Any advice? Plus, if I get a product that is good for conditioning and protection is there a formulation i should stay away from?

And if i do get the product, what kind of person would do this for me and not charge an arm and a leg? It would be weird if I did it myself and I dont want to get a handyman to do it.

Here are some closeups. Restoration companies wanted 390 or so to recolour the leather and I am certain its only a matter of conditioning as you can see just rubbing the scratches minimized their appearance.
