I was working in a nbfc as support + java fullstack dev. I have around 1.8 years of exeperience. In the initial months I was given a role of L2 support/Application manager for a system built completely in Oracle PL/SQL. After few months, i got assigned to web application development project in Java + ReactJS. The catch was that I had to do this with my already existing support workload. At that time, I was very eager to get of the support label and so I would voluntarily work overtime just to catch the deadlines. But this led to severe burn out and I quit my job. I did enjoy working as Java dev, but I'm not too keen on continuing in that direction. I'm switching to data fields and going to use my SQL exeperience as some leverage here. I'm pretty confident in my SQL skills and currently brushing up on Python. Given my experience and skillset, should I focus my efforts on becoming a Data engineer or Data analyst?
