Hi everyone, my girlfriend was kept in a medically induced coma for 3 weeks, during which she also underwent several surgeries. We are now at the beginning of the sixth week after the injury.

At the moment she opens her eyes, moves her pupils both to the right and left (more to the left), and moves her eyelids normally, but unfortunately she still does not track with her eyes.

She has noticeable spasticity, especially in her right arm, which she moves often, while the left arm is a bit less rigid. She also continues to move her head from side to side during the day.

In addition, she has autonomic storms/crises with sweating and a heart rate around 110/120 bpm, and she keeps grinding/rubbing her teeth.

I wanted to ask anyone who has gone through similar experiences: did you notice these kinds of behaviors before waking up or before neurological improvements? Thank you so much to anyone who replies.

Ciao ragazzi, la mia ragazza è stata tenuta in coma farmacologico per 3 settimane, durante le quali ha subito anche alcuni interventi. Ora siamo all’inizio della sesta settimana dal trauma.

Attualmente apre gli occhi, respira da sola, muove le pupille sia a destra che a sinistra (più verso sinistra) e muove normalmente le palpebre, però purtroppo non segue ancora con lo sguardo. Non ha mai avuto interventi neurologici e le tac sono sempre state stabili e mai in peggioramento.

Ha una certa spasticità soprattutto al braccio destro, che muove spesso, mentre il sinistro è un po’ meno rigido. Continua anche a fare movimenti della testa da destra a sinistra durante la giornata.

Inoltre ha delle crisi vegetative con sudorazione e battiti sui 110/120 bpm, e continua a strofinare/grattare i denti.

Volevo chiedere a chi ha vissuto esperienze simili: avete visto questi comportamenti prima di un risveglio o di miglioramenti neurologici? Grazie davvero a chi risponderà.
