New to Uber and Let a Passenger & His Mom Pressure Me Into Picking Her Up
** Don't be scared to speak up like me ** Yesterday I picked someone up from the mall, and he was going very, very far. About 5 minutes into the ride, he started asking me if I could pick up his dad, and I told him no because he would have to add a stop in the app. Then he got his mom on the phone because the ride was actually on her account, and she started asking me the same thing, saying she would send money through Zelle or Cash App if I could just pick up the dad for them. First it was the dad, then they started asking me to pick up the mom too. She was technically on the way, but she didn’t know how to add a stop. I agreed to pick up the mom because she was on the way there, and they were asking me nonstop to pick her up, but I never agreed to pick up the dad. Mind you, this trip was already like 30 minutes away. I finally agreed because I had the son in the backseat pressuring me and the mom on the phone pressuring me too. We get close to his house, and I completely forgot about picking up the mom until he reminded me again, so I ended up driving 10 minutes out of the way and then 10 minutes back. Then after I picked her up, she got in the car and didn’t say hi, didn’t say thank you, nothing. Basically, don’t be too nice. I shouldn’t have done that. I don’t even know why I agreed. I just felt pressured and nervous to say no. Then on their way out, she starts asking me to pick up the dad again, and I’m like, wtf??? It’s Friday night, I’m supposed to be in downtown Dallas making money, and instead I’m all the way out in Wylie doing all this extra stuff.
