First of, this is in no way connected to discussing reading order, I know i made a mistake and that is from googling "Fitz Farseer" after finishing The Farseer Trilogy since it's my first encounter with the ROTE.

So, as I fell in love with the ROTE series from the start with the Assassin's Apprentice narrated by Paul Boehmer, I was stuck. After a bad search string when googling the continuance of the series, I started Fool's Errand with Nick Taylor, which took a bit of getting used to but was a solid narrator for The Tawny Man Trilogy... As I found out now that I finished Fool's Fate that I actually missed a crucial Trilogy: The Liveship Traders, I decided to go straight in with Ship of Magic narrated by Anne Flosnik and found myself discouraged... I find her voice extremely AI generated! I'm 12.5 minutes in and dreading listening to her for another 34h (34h02min from start to finish).

On my app, there's another choice for The Liveship Traders narrated by Lucy Tregaer, but the first book is "only" 33h25m. So, is Lucy a "better" (I know this would be subjective) narrator? What would I miss going for the shorter version? Would it be worth it in the end?

I would really like to know how others stand on this as I listen on my commute to and from work every day 45min each way and so far I've longed for my commute each weekend, but now I'm torn...

Update: I've read all comments, and though I don't want to sound unappreciative to Anne, experimenting with the speed didn't solve the issue. I decided to try our Lucy instead, and found her narration more to my liking. So will go for her narration and experiencing The Liveship Traders along her instead.
