How do I poliely refuse when people insist I taste their beverage/vape or anything else that involves putting my mouth where their mouth just was?

I can't stand it when people insist I taste their beverage or new vape flavor or dinner entree. I am rather cautious about exchanging germs with anyone else. If I am in an intimate relationship with another person, I don't mind drinking or vaping after them, although like Seinfeld, I draw the line at sharing a toothbrush. However, if you are a casual friend or acquaintance, I am positively adverse to sharing. Most people are content with a simple "No thank you", but some adamantly insist that "You simply MUST taste this." What is an inoffensive way of saying "thanks, but no thanks" when they continue to persevere? Or does one simply say "I don't not wish to exchange mouth germs with you?"

Edit: I just realized the post "title" misspelled "politely". I am terribly embarrassed, but can find no way to correct the error.

What are some good books for 8-9 year olds just learning to read?

I have, among other housemates, an eight and nine year old child who have not attended school much in their lives. I can help teach math, but am not sure how to help teach reading. Neither child reads even close to their level. What books can I get for them that are at the level of maybe a first grade student, but not so simple that they will regard them as babyish? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
