Community
We are late 40's couple that relocated to Vegas from the East Coast to help a family member. We have been here about 9 months and haven't done a ve try good job making connections.
About 18 months ago we gave up drinking and are both currently completely sober. I have many interests but still looking for community and some volunteer opportunities (more about me in my bio on here). He is struggling because since college all his time with buddies and every "fun" thing he did centered around partying.
We have been to a few meet ups etc but I am the extroverted introvert (shy at first until I'm not) and he's always been the extrovert who talks to everyone. That is not the case anymore how that he is sober so connecting with people is different now. He loves to play golf but struggles with his buddies that center it around drinking.
Any suggestions for where to make sober connections? Places to volunteer that feel like a community, etc? Or any positive or empowering men's groups in the area he might want to check out.
